the green fairy lives

So, tonight I've discovered that the drunk one gets from absinthe is different from the drunk one gets from normal alcohol.

I should be flat on my ass, barely able to type, with the amount of alcohol I've consumed. Instead, I'm feeling lucid, clear-minded and wild.

This is a razor's-edge drunkenness.

I trimmed my hair today; it's now all roughly the same length. So it makes a much neater braid. I still really need to shave though.

I've been feeling dressier lately. I want to wear my fancy schmancy goth wear. I also want to go clubbing. It's been too long since I've had a chance to dance.

OK, first of all, I don't know if you're using S1 or S2 styles, but all the text for leaving a comment is black on black (except for the white textboxes).

Now, my real question: did you buy your absinthe somewhere? I mean, is it legal in Canada? Or did you make it?

1) Yeah, I know... it's s2 styles. The style I'm using doesn't let you set that specific colour. I should be chnaging it today though, to a new layout I'm building myself with hooks for my own css.

2) It's legal in Canada, though only specific levels of thujone are allowed. In Ontario, the only brand you can get is versinthe, which is apparentlty not the world's best absinthe, but it is the real stuff. They aparently sell versinthe in the US without wormwood.

I think they may sell versinthe in BC as well, so if you take a shopping trip up to Vancouver when you're in Seattle, you may be able to find some.

Making absinthe is apparently pretty complicated, since you have to distill the wormwood to get the thujone out of it, which means setting up your own still...

OK... it looks a bit better now... though the backgrounds aren't properly fixed in IE.

Yay. Now I can see what I'm doing ;)
