Leadership of potential new Canadian right wing Federal party under discussion. A bit of history; at its inception, Canada had two parties, the Conservatives ("Tories") and the Liberals, not dissimilar from the Demopublicans and the Republicrats; ostensiby right and left wing, but mostly centrist. The Tories at one point reinvented themselves to the "Progressive Conservatives". In the past two elections, the Tories have been slaughtered, and a new right wing party (initially the Reform party, currently the Canadian Alliance party) rose in influence. Now, the two are looking to merge, and become the Conservatives again.
Judge removes limits on third party election spending. This means Canada can now have anyone spend money for political advertising.

that outpatient clinic sounds kind of like an urgent care center
if that's what it is, it has the potential to really help a lot of people by providing an alternative to going to the ER in cases where it's not a life or death emergency, but immediate care is still warranted
it's a shame it won't be open this summer... i'd want to check it out if i end up going up to toronto for my research project

3 previous elections actually, and history on the name change:

The PC party use to be called the Conservative Party of Canada until the mid 40s when they changed their name to the Progressive Conservative Party in a bid to attract members from the failed Progressive Party which was another Western party created as a protest over British rule.
