Me = Worst Boyfriend Ever.

I lost my ring.

I dropped it at the gym, in a locker, and it fell down a hole and rolled under the floor of the locker. I shoved my headphone cable under there and wiggled it around, and heard it hit the ring a couple times, but couldn't get it out.

I talked to the maintenance guy at the gym, and he said to get under there, they need to take the whole bay of lockers down from the wall, and that he'd talk to the operations manager to see if he could do that. I left them my numbers, and now I wait.

So, I'm pretty upset about this. I'm a little better now than I was, since when it happened, I'd just finished working out to the point where I was shaking.

In summation, I suck.

Dude! A.) You don't suck, it was an accident! B.) If you can get your headphone cable down there, there maybe another option. Like putting something sticky at the end of your headphone and pulling both out. If not the maintenance may have other options, I'll talk to the maintenance guys at work and see what they'd do in the same situation.

You are not the worst boyfriend ever.

You really do need to get some sense smacked into your head with boobies.

*smooch* I love you, darling.

Goddamn. That sucks. I feel really sorry for you. Good luck in getting it back.

Oh, man...

You'll get it back.

And then, crazy glue it to your finger.

Or better, get your bones plated in adamantium, and weld the fucker on.

Sucking would be flushing it down the toilet in a fit of pique. Which, I note, you didn't do. You accidentally dropped it. It happens. And it sucks, lots.

*hugs* I hope you get it back soon. We can always go there and rip the lockers out ourselves this weekend.

I suggested the 'going in and ripping out the lockers' myself, but he wouldn't listen to me.

I think we *both* need to bludgeon him with boobies this weekend to knock some sense into him.

If y'all wanna go in and rip out the lockers yourself I DO have a crowbar and it would fit under my trenchcoat...

My first thought, actually, was to get my dremel cutter and a pair of aviation snips and just cut the bottom out of the locker. :)

I could probably do it in about 5 minutes, too.

More realistically, I might go over there with a couple pieces of bent wire and see what I can do.

It was an accident, babe. You are not the worst boyfriend ever.

Ugh..that bites..but clearly not your fault!
Could you try and get at it with something flat, that would fit under the locker, and then you maybe able to push it out enough to get something to grab at it?? like a long flat ruler, or a bent outta shape coat hanger?
I hope you're able to get it back soon!

Worst boy friend ever would be...oh giving it to someone else.

It sucks to loose it, but by no means makes you evil :).

I have a friend who lost his wedding ring during their honeymoon. They were somewhere warm and went diving and it fell right off. Another who was cheering at a U of M football game after a successful drive and lost his ring under the bleachers and then we lost anyway.

No, it means you had a really sucky accident.

Yeah, what they all said. Personally, I'm wary of bringing small items and precious personal belongings into gyms for that reason (they get easily lost) and in case people break into others' lockers for illicit purposes (theft). It happens....

Well, the thing is, there's no where else to put my ring; I can't work out while wearing it, and leaving it qat home isn't an option, since I don't go home before hitting the gym after work.

Hmm...pockets?? Anyways, don't beat yourself up over it. Bad stuff happens sometimes....
