ACN stuffs

As most of those attending probably already know, the game allotments for ACN are out. There is, I think, an advantage to being a GM, especially one who's running multiple games; I got every one of my choices this year. It also seems that the GM:player ratio is particualrly bad this year; all of my games have the maximum number of players in it; so both my games will have 8 players in them... I'm going to need to think up another two Nobilis NPCs by the con, which shouldn't be a problem. A plot is finally presenting itself; I figured out my biggest mistake in the playtest, and shan't repeat it.

I've got a web page about 1/4 of the way done for Nine Princes, which will hopefully be done by the end of the day, so I can send a mailing out to the players, so people can start tooling around with PC ideas over e-mail if they want, though I am going to leave actual character generation to the actual con, since I'm doubtful of my ability to fill 7 hours with plot. But then, all of my games thus far have been fairly small, so we'll see how it works out this time.

I experimented for dinner tonight; I made a vague cream of chicken soup that turned out fairly well.

sautee chicken thighs in a pot, then pull them out, and sautee some onions in the juices. Throw some sherry in with the onions to deglaze the pot. Add a little bit of butter, then stir in flour to make a roux. Slowly add milk, stirring so that you don't get lumps until you have about half as much soup as you want. Then add roughly the same amount of chicken stock, and some salt, pepper, oregano and basil. Put the chicken back in, and mix in some heated up frozen veggies, or, if you're not in a hurry, real vegetables. Serve with big slabs of bread.
