Dear brain,

Dear brain,

Please cut it out with the dreams. While the PVC Batman outfit the other night was kind of cool, the rest of that dream was pretty bleak. The dream this morning where I accidentally beat a man to death with my bare hands, and then had to deal with the social and legal ramifications of the act was not terribly uplifting either.

As the body is currently revolting (it's always been revolting, now it's rebelling!), I had hoped that I could count on you, brain, to help out a little more to get things straightened out. I would appreciate it if, for the next little while, you would refrain from pointing unplesant truths that I am well aware of. At times like this, denial can be an important survival mechanism.

I hope I can count on your support in this.

Yours truly, the Self.
