WHEE!

I don't know if this is another "feature" of my weird metabolism, or if this happens to everyone else. Whenever I go for an extended stretch of being exhausted and stressed (or sick), I get a day of overcompensation when that ends. When my body is still amped up on crisis chemicals to combat an exhaustion state that no longer exists.

That's what's going on with me today. I'm wired as though I'd had a handful of amphetamines.

In addition to being wound up, I'm getting some significant vertigo - not quite to the point where I need to hold on to something to stay standing, but not far off. I checked my pulse, and it's up at almost 100 bpm - normal is 60 bpm for me. I don't want to know what my blood pressure is right now.

Eventually, this is going to wear off and I am going to crash, but for now? ZOOOM.

Now to go see if I can concentrate enough to get some resume writing done.

That photo! Why is Geddy Lee climbing out of your shower? And where are his little sunglasses?

In retrospect, no, it doesn't particularly. Something about the hair triggered that.

Really, it's a bit more like Crispin Glover climbing out of the shower. And I'm not sure that's any less creepy.

I'd rather have Crispin Glover than Geddy Lee in my shower any day.

My body more runs on nervous energy a lot; it sometimes amazes people how little sleep I can function on quite often, especially if I neglect my sleeping pills. (Cause really, I'd practically never sleep if I didn't drug myself into it every night.) My body just runs and runs til I'm at such a deficiet and I'm running on fumes, then I crash, hard, for a few days. Later, rinse, repeat.

I get the same thing. Once I feel better, I always hit one day where I am absolutely wired. I have the most productive days those days.
