So, while Zil is out, I'm making chili. I just tasted some, and was evry pleased with the slow, mellow heat the flavour had. Then I realised, if I find the heat slow and mellow, it's probably going to incinerate Zil where she stands. Damn it. I hope it's not that bad... I have no idea how to de-spice the stuff.

I hope the bread and a glass of milk will suffice.

Nope. It don't work. I know because once I created the Chili from Heck, and nothing, not even doubling all the other ingredients, helped. All I got was MORE Chili from Heck. We like chili on pasta, or on rice, and even just a little of this stuff made it smoulder.

Good luck, Lizardqueen.

It wasn't actually that bad.

theoretically, vinegar helps cut down the heat of spicy food (at least it does in asian cooking)
i dont know how much affect can have before your chili starts tasting more like vinegar than chili, but it might be worth keeping in mind if you accidentally overspice something

Ah, but you see, Mr. Curgoth won't touch most foods with vinegar. So that's right out...

I'll remember it when I'm cooking for myself, though. Mmmmm, acetic acid...
